More than 40 years ago, Rich Hudson took a self-improvement class
and was introduced to the powerful role that beliefs play in personal
achievement. His curiosity launched a life-long interest in beliefs,
behavior, and how to get great results in life.

In 1972, Rich received a B.A. from Indiana University with a double
major in Broadcast Communications and Music. His career in the
communications and entertainment fields included work as a writer
and producer, performer, composer and songwriter, recording engineer,
and television audio director. He is an award-winning songwriter and
was on the production team for two Emmy-award winning television
programs.

In 1986, Rich began studying Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP),
a technology that studies individuals’ internal strategies to identify
the beliefs and behaviors that make them successful. Those beliefs
and behaviors can then be transferred to others in what Rich calls
Human Technology Transfer™. Rich is a certified Master Practitioner
and Trainer of NLP.

In 1990, as a result of his NLP training, Rich began a year-long study
of confident public speakers. He looked for the beliefs, behaviors,
and strategies that allowed them to be confident. This groundbreaking
study is the basis of Speak Your Mind – Without Losing It™, a two-day
seminar where Rich teaches the beliefs and practice of confident public
speaking.

Rich is the author of 70 Steps to Speaking Success, a booklet of practical
tips about how to plan and present a speech. 70 Steps to Speaking Success was the subject of articles in Family Circle, Sales and Marketing Management Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business, American Society of Association Executives Communication News, Boardroom Reports, The Secretary, and many others.

For six years Rich worked as an outside consultant for Hewitt Associates,
around the United States. In 1997, he joined Amadeus International, a
global consultancy based in the United Kingdom. Since then, Rich has
coached CEOs and Managing Directors in 14 countries on four continents
for multinational corporations, including Motorola, Unilever, Glaxo-Welcome,
and Blockbuster.

Rich developed that concepts of Belief Investing™ and Belief Leadership™
based on his coaching and training experience. His work with executives
also convinced him that it is imperative to help children build powerful,
positive beliefs, attitudes, and skills at a time when it is effortless for them
to learn — during childhood.
